1.選擇對的歌，讓整件事變得真實

為了有機會去聯繫觀眾，你需要與首歌有聯繫。所以你需要選一首你可以由心有感情地表演出來。當你真的有一首歌可以聯繫到，進一步去研究。有什麼情緒在後面支持？寫出歌詞，然後寫出每一個部分的的意思以致你可以表達出首歌的情緒。當你唱歌的時候表現越真摯，觀眾就感受的越深。

2.注意你的表情

有時我們唱歌的時候，我們唱時會失去方向因為我們會集中于歌詞，音調，唱歌技巧或者留意被一班觀眾注視著。這通常發生在當我們選擇唱一首開心的歌卻出現皺眉甚至臉帶怒容。如果你的表情和歌的意思不相符，觀眾通常不會投放更多的感情和注意力。所以你必須要找一隻由心而發的歌。至少，當你在練習的時候，在鏡子前面練習以確保你不會出錯,在歌唱比賽或表演時俟能發揮水準。

3.穿著應配合主題

想象一下當一個美聲唱法的歌手穿著運動鞋打老婆去演繹一首單戀的歌。這適合你嗎？如果是我的話，不能。但如果是一個歌手隨意穿一套衣服然後上台唱歌表演會怎樣？我不是一個設計師，也不對潮流沒有太多觸覺。但我知道的是你的穿著是十分重要。最基本的規則是你的穿著和你首歌所表達的訊息是一致的。

4.身體語言

你如何得知你的朋友不開心當他們什麼也不說？我猜你應該是透過他面部表情和平常的行為去判斷的。到現時為止，人與人的交流不僅是我們的對話，我們潛意識接受信號是透過身體語言和說話語調。所以，對住鏡子，如果你首歌是悲傷的，你的動作也要是悲傷的（肩膀向前，頭微微向下）如果首歌是稍輕快開心的，站得筆直些，較大的走動,肩膀保持水平！有時情緒會回落到中期階段，你的表情和身體語言需要同時要正確的改動。

附註，在唱歌或是歌唱比賽時應放鬆肩膀，把肩膀舒服地放下或擺在後面去讓你的觀眾也對你有信心。

1. Choose the right song to make the performance convincing

You need to connect with the song that you sing before you are able to connect with the audience. That is why you need to choose a song where you are able to express the emotions from the bottom of your heart. Identify a song that you can connect to, and afterwards, do further studies. What underlying messages or emotions do the songwriter try to convey or express? Write down the lyrics on a sheet of paper and try to make remarks about the meaning of each part of the song. This helps you bring out the emotions more effectively. The more sincerely you sing, the stronger the emotions the audience would feel.

2. Mind your facial expressions

Sometimes when we sing, we lose a sense of direction in our eyes because we are too focused on the lyrics, our voice or our singing techniques. Sometimes we may also get distracted by spectators' eyeballs. Even worse, we may sometimes frown or even scowl without noticing it ourselves when we are singing a happy song. If your facial expressions do not match with the meaning of the song, your performance would not be able to convince the audience. So find a song where you can express the emotions deeply from your heart. Try to sing in front of a mirror to practice your facial expressions.

3. Dress like the theme

Imagine if a bel canto singer in sneakers beating his wife while he is singing a one-sided love song. Is that suitable for you? Not for me. But if a singer dress anything he/she like in his/her performance, what will happen? I am not a designer, I do not have much fashion sense, but I know the importance of dressing right in a right place. At least what you are wearing matches your song.

4. Body Languages

How do you know your friend is upset when they are not telling you? I guess you will judge by their facial expressions and their usual behaviors. Up to now interpersonal communication is not just about what we say, but also the subconscious body languages we get, as well as the tone they speak. Therefore, face the mirror, if your song is a sad one, your action will have to be sad (shoulder forward, head slightly down). If the song is a brisk and happy one, stand straight, have more action, and keep your shoulder on the same level! Sometimes when the emotion fall back to the middle level, your facial expression and body language need to be adjusted at the same time.
