Input is all that matters
Truth to be told, those karaoke machines only consider the input when you sing. In other words, if you sing at the correct moment when the lyrics appears on the screen with a loud voice, it will show you higher score.

detecting frame energy of a Karaoke singer’s singing voice singing to pre-recorded music in the karaoke machine
detecting frame enegery of an original artist’s singing voice on the pre-recorded music
The more the frame energy of the karaoke singer match the frame energy of the original artist, a more higher score will be given.
