Darling, You're Not Here to Sing Backup – You're Here to Be the Star

Do you remember those days in school choir?

The tall ones stood at the back. The loud ones stood in the middle. And the rest of us—the "not tall enough," the "not loud enough"—we automatically shuffled to the side, clutching our sheet music, mouthing the words, blending into the blurry background.

The teacher would say: "Just stick to the harmony."

But did anyone ever ask you—"Do you want to be the lead?"

We've spoken to so many parents who tell us their daughters come home and sing in front of the mirror, turn the curtains into stage drapes, and pretend the sofa is a crowd of adoring fans. But the moment they step into choir practice, they shrink. Because they know: "This isn't a place for me to shine."

Enough.

Our choir isn't here to make you a background singer. We're here for voices that carry soul—for eyes that light up on stage. Even if you think you're just "the one on the side" right now, we want to tell you: Your voice deserves to be heard.

That's why we've brought in Dr. Steve Tam—not just Celine Tam's father and vocal coach, but the first Chinese Golden Buzzer mentor on America's Got Talent. He'll be overseeing our curriculum and performance quality, alongside the professional instructor team from Sing and You Music Academy.

We don't teach boring, rigid music theory. We don't drill kids like robots. In just 4 lessons, we help you master one song—with real emotion. We split into Junior (ages 6–17) and Senior (18+) groups for training, and then we bring everyone together for a joint performance at the Christmas Peace Concert this December.

Here's the crazy part about other choirs out there: many require auditions and lotteries, with acceptance rates under 10%. Some push kids so hard for rankings that you see 6-year-olds yawning on stage, pouting, or even crying while singing. When did singing become a punishment?

We're different.

We don't want robots. We want voices with feeling. With soul. Have you watched Celine's performance on America's Got Talent? She didn't just sing in tune—she moved the entire world. That kind of emotional power is something AI can never replicate.

That's what we want to give your daughter.

Quick Recap:

  • Learn a song in just 4 lessons

  • Real performances at concert halls, shopping malls, and TV stations
